Sam Jaffe

sjaffe@ms915brooklyn.org

Mr. Jaffe spent over a decade working as an editor on films and commercials before transitioning to a career in teaching. He received his BFA from the film conservatory at SUNY Purchase, his MSEd in teaching adolescents with special needs from LIU Brooklyn, and is finishing up his MSW in clinical social work at NYU with a focus on children & adolescents.

Mr. Jaffe believes that all members of our community– students and staff alike– benefit when we open the doors of communication to truly listen to one another, and in using principles of universal design to allow everyone not only access to learn, but also an open platform to demonstrate their competence.

Mr. Jaffe similarly enjoys learning from his students, harnessing creativity, and finding the fun in the everyday.

He lives in Brooklyn with his cat, Charlie, and roughly five thousand plants.
