FAQ

How do I apply for Bridges|MS 915’s After School Program?

You may now complete CCM-FYI’s After School Program Enrollment Application for 2022-23 online.

More information coming soon!

To complete the application:

How does Bridges|MS 915’s After School Program generally work?
CCM-FYI offers traditional after school programming every day starting right after school until 5:45pm. Registration opens in the summer before school begins and then occurs on an on-going basis throughout the school year as space permits.

CCM-FYI also offers and oversees Enrichment Club sessions that take place twice per year and run from the end of September/early October through the end of January, and then again from February through June; a few clubs require longer commitments. Students and families must register for clubs for each session—in other words, enrollment in the clubs does not generally carry over from session to session.  These have included band programs overseen by teaching artists from the Brooklyn Music School and dance programs with Brooklyn Ballet, as well as a variety of Brides|MS 915 teacher-led clubs. Student support groups including our Genders & Sexualities Alliance have also been integrated into CCM’s programming.

Can my child do both traditional programming and Enrichment Clubs?
Yes! Your child can sign up for both.

Can my child do only Enrichment Clubs?
Yes, but you must still complete CCM-FYI’s enrollment form.  The only limitation is that students may not leave school and then return for a club that begins later in the afternoon.  Students in those clubs (for example, basketball team) would stay at school for snack and homework help, tutoring, or other activities until their scheduled club.

How do I register for Enrichment Clubs?
Please reach out to CCM-FYI’s onsite program directors, Mr. Johnnie and Ms. Jewell, at Bridges|MS 915 to select preferred clubs.

Do I have to fill out the CCM-FYI application if my child will only attend an Enrichment Club?
Yes! Every student who is planning to attend After School Program must register with CCM-FYI even if they will not join full time traditional after school programming.

What can I expect from Homework Help during after school?
CCM provides a quiet environment in which students can complete their homework. If a student is having trouble understanding their assignment they can ask the teacher for assistance. Family members should check over homework at home to make sure it is complete and correct. If you would like extra assistance for homework help, please register your child for tutoring.

Does the After School Program offer tutoring?
Yes! Bridges|MS 915 teachers offer tutoring in various subjects through CCM-FYI’s program.  Tutoring in ELA, science and math has historically been available after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; the 2021-22 tutoring schedule is still being finalized.
