Middle School Art Exhibition

For the parent teacher conferences at MS8, Ansophie P. was given the opportunity to help MS8 art teacher Ms. Schneider with the art show. She helped with the set up and gave tours. The art gallery showed art that the middle school has made over the year.

A Slam Dunk

This past Friday evening MS8 hosted DUNK FOR 8, a fun-filled, new community-wide event at the Westinghouse campus. Held in the recently-renovated Westinghouse gym, the evening’s free activities included fun basketball games and skills contests.

MS8 Visits the STEM Mentoring Café

On the morning of November 14th, a small group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from MS8 went to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in Manhattan.

Last Saturday 6 of our students represented PS8’s middle school at the Urban Advantage Science Expo in the American Museum of Natural History. 6th and 7th graders Desmond, Khailer, Jackson, Colm, Christian and Isaiah were honored to present their projects.

PS/MS8 Students at the D13 Science Fair!

This Thursday, 14 students from PS8’s lower and middle schools and had the chance to represent our school at the District 13 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Expo! It was an amazing experience, and two of our groups won medals in their respective categories.

We offer heartfelt congratulations to our first class of 8th graders soon to gradu8 from our Westinghouse middle school campus! The high school application process is a hard and often complicated one, but our students did amazingly well in the first round of admissions.
